Meet Katie

Hi, I'm Katie Kay, MA — Midlife Transformation Coach for Mind, Body & Soul.

My work is rooted as deeply in lived experience as it is in education, training, and science.

Life hasn't always felt calm, clear, or easy or for me. In fact, for most of my life it wasn’t. Like many women, I've experienced seasons of intense stress, anxiety, loss, instability, financial stress, caregiving, people-pleasing, and feeling disconnected from my own body and needs; not to mention physcial ailments ranging from allergies (to everything under the sun) to sever anxiety (none of which I have any more). For years, I pushed through, held it all together, and tried to be everything for everyone else, often at my own expense.

With these symptoms, my body began asking me to listen…and when I finally learned how, everything changed.

What I once viewed as problems to fix became invitations to slow down, become curious, and begin rebuilding a relationship with myself. Through that process, I discovered something profoundly liberating: our symptoms, emotions, exhaustion, and changing bodies are often not signs that we are broken. More often, they are intelligent messengers guiding us toward the parts of ourselves that have been neglected, silenced, or forgotten.

That understanding became the foundation of the work I now do.

My Journey Through Midlife

I am currently navigating my own perimenopausal journey, and it has become one of my greatest teachers.

Like many women, I have experienced changing hormones, shifting energy, weight gain despite doing "all the right things," moments of irritability that felt unfamiliar, and the deep invitation that midlife extends to reassess how we nourish, care for, and relate to ourselves. It became clear that what I had been doing consistently for the last 15 years of my healthy living journey, wasn’t going to work in this new season of midlife…

Rather than resisting it all, I chose to learn from it (and then share it!).

I immersed myself in understanding midlife from a physical, emotional, nervous system, and spiritual perspective, implementing small but meaningful changes that helped me feel more energized, more connected, and increasingly at home within myself.

This personal experience allows me to walk alongside other women not as someone who has a magic fix, but as someone who understands the terrain and believes deeply that this chapter can become the most authentic, aligned, and radiant season of our lives.

How I Support Women

I work primarily with women in midlife who are ready to stop simply surviving and begin intentionally creating the second half of their lives.

Many women come to me feeling anxious, exhausted, disconnected from their bodies, overwhelmed by changing hormones, frustrated by patterns they can't seem to shift, quietly grieving versions of themselves they feel they've lost along the way. or not knowing what to do next

Intellectually, they often know what they "should" do.

But knowing and embodying are two very different things.

Together, we explore the stories, stress responses, habits, beliefs, and expectations that may have helped them navigate previous chapters of life but no longer support the woman they are becoming.

My work focuses on helping women:

• Understand and regulate their nervous systems

• Rebuild trust with their bodies

• Navigate hormonal changes with greater ease and self-compassion

• Release patterns of self-abandonment, perfectionism, and people-pleasing

• Cultivate stronger boundaries and healthier relationships

• Reconnect with joy, purpose, creativity, and pleasure

• Create sustainable practices that support emotional resilience, vitality, and radiance

For more than twenty years, I've worked with individuals ages five to seventy-five in educational, supportive, and growth-oriented settings. While I welcome clients from all walks of life, my heart's work is helping women reclaim themselves in midlife and discover what becomes possible when they begin including themselves in the care they've so generously given to others.

The Heart of My Work

My approach blends evidence-informed nervous system education, holistic nutrition, somatic practices, spirituality, and my Radiant Woman™ coaching framework.

I believe true transformation doesn't happen by forcing ourselves to become someone new.

It happens when we learn to understand ourselves more deeply, respond to our needs more compassionately, and create lives that honour who we really are.

Alongside my lived experience, my professional background includes:

• Master of Arts, Wilfrid Laurier University

• Certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation, Conrad Grebel College, University of Waterloo

• Transformative Leadership Program, Dalai Lama Centre for Ethics, Balsillie School of International Affairs

• Registered Holistic Nutrition Diploma, Canadian School of Natural Nutrition

• Holistic Life Coaching Level 2, CHEK Institute

• Nervous System School Certification

• Death Doula Training

• And more than twenty years of experience supporting individuals in their growth, healing, and transformation.

My work is grounded, compassionate, evidence-informed, and soul-centered. It honours both science and intuition, practical tools and inner wisdom, education and embodiment.

You do not have to navigate this chapter alone.

If you're ready to lessen anxiety, reconnect with your body, rediscover yourself, and create the most radiant half of your life, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.

My services are educational, supportive, and coaching-based in nature. They are not psychotherapy, medical treatment, or a substitute for regulated mental health care.
